Honeymoon (6/21/09-6/27/09) Day 1

The morning after our wedding, Jenn's family was nice enough to have friends and family over for a brunch before many of them would begin a long trip home. We had a lot of fun with the animal pancakes (which my Dad took orders for at the bar the night before), frisbee, football, and good conversation.
Soon after, though, Jenn and I had to drive out to Philadelphia, PA for our honeymoon trip to St. Kitts and Nevis , an independent island nation in the Caribbean. I had booked a Park/Sleep/Fly over the internet at a Microtel Inn which turned out to be a decent little motel. So the following morning we left our car there for the week and they shuttled us to the airport around 5 AM. The flights went off without any problems (which Jenn was especially thankful for) and we arrived on St. Kitts Sunday morning where a van from the Marriott Resort and Casino picked us up and took us to our week in luxury.

As soon as we arrived in the Marriott, we were greeted in the lobby with a punch drink and a shot of local rum to mix with the drink and we knew it was going to be a fantastic trip. We had decided not to book any excursions until we arrived but had read up on a bunch we would be interested in doing. The first day was spent unpacking, checking out our resort, playing in the ocean, and asking about various excursions for the following days.
