1 year and counting. We celebrated the day before as Jenn had to work. We went to the whitewater center for the day and out to a nice italian restaurant for dinner. And yes, we had our top layer of the cake. The icing was awful, but the cake itself wasn't too bad.

My Brother is in Town
My wayward brother came back to the States for a visit after a hiatus of almost 1 year. I had to take a day off school to fly up to Pittsburgh for the weekend to visit. All seems to be well with the big bro and we had a good time visiting for the last time in the house we all grew up in. My sister came in from Ohio and my grandparents also visited Bethel Park while Nate was in town. So it was nice to see everyone again. My dad, grandpa, Dan, and I were extra nice to Nate when we let him win in golf Saturday morning and then we had a nice cookout in my parents' backyard with a bunch of Nate's highschool friends. When Nate returns to the States for good, I plan on whipping him into shape to do some races with me- maybe a Pittsburgh marathon relay?

Camping Trip June 5, 2010
After a few disappointing plans of camping which ended up rained out, Jenn and I finally made our first camping trip of the year. We camped at King's Mountain State Park in South Carolina. Unfortunately, it still rained, but it waited until we had just returned from our short hike to a recreated pioneer farm. This farm is used throughout the year in demonstrations of pioneer life.
When we returned, it was storming for about an hour so we stayed in our massive 8 person tent and read books and relaxed for a while. Then we had our hotdogs and s'mores over the fire (Jenn was smart enough to put many small sticks in a garbage bag and then we bought firewood from the camp store). A fun trip and we're looking forward to many more this summer.
